Joshua A. Wilson
Josh is a native of central Ohio, graduating from Liberty Union-Thurston High School in Baltimore, Ohio before attending The Ohio State University. Josh received his law degree from Capital University Law School.
Before becoming a lawyer, Josh enjoyed a long and successful career as a carpenter, working in both residential and commercial construction. As a union carpenter, Josh was able to be a part of many exciting projects in the Columbus area, including the expansion of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the new Student Union at The Ohio State University, and expansion of Port Columbus International Airport. Working for Cleveland Cement Contractors, Josh oversaw a multimillion-dollar project as the foreman for foundation crew for the new Franklin County Courthouse.
Josh took a year off from construction to work as a tutor and mentor for inner city children on Columbus’s south side as a corps member of City Year, an Americorps non-profit organization. Josh tutored at-risk students at Heyl Elementary and helped run an after-school program at the South Side Settlement House off of Parsons Avenue. It was Josh’s experience in City Year that first made him decide to pursue a career in the law, experiencing first hand the great reward that comes from serving others. It is this same compassion and devotion that Josh strives to bring to the practice of law.
