Chris focuses his practice on estate planning, probate, real estate, and small business law. He is well versed on the intricacies of estate planning including avoiding probate, managing assets during life and after death, and protecting assets. His probate experience has taught him all the ways to avoid probate. He puts those lessons into every estate plan he prepares.

He handles complex real estate transactions, drop and swaps, purchase and sale agreements, can handle zoning and variance applications, along with lot splits, and virtually all other real estate transactions. He supports his clients from negotiation to closing.

For small businesses, he regularly supports with formations, contract drafting, choosing a tax structure, partner or member buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, selling or buying an existing business, assisting with company governance and employee issues, wrapping up and dissolving companies, and most other business needs that small business may have.

Prior to practicing Law, Chris Chapman had a successful career in the business community and working with larger corporations in addition to serving in the U.S. Army 3rd Special Forces and 19th Special Forces Groups. He has experience with managing large complex projects, employees, and compliance in various fields. A lifetime learner, Chris has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology, a Master of Business Administration, and various other certifications. His diverse education, business and military background provide a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges clients face on a day-to-day basis. He brings a high level of analytical skill and practicality to his clients.

Chris earned his Juris Doctor in 2013 from Capital University Law School after years in the aviation and business world. He wanted new challenges and a way to apply all his years of knowledge to help people in their businesses and everyday lives. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and Columbus Bar Association.
