Jennifer L. Routte, Partner
Jen grew-up in Gahanna in a family of small business owners. She worked in several of the small businesses owned by her family. These experiences gave her a unique understanding of the struggles of small business owners. She believes that today there is a business to life. Everyone in one way or another is like a small business owner. Therefore, many of these struggles apply to everyone.
During law school Jen enjoyed being in the court room. She participated in moot court and other practical classes. Jen’s first several years of practice focused primarily on civil litigation. She handled contract disputes, personal injury cases, medical malpractice cases, was involved in complex trust litigation, construction defect cases, real estate disputes, appellate cases, and much more. She discovered that litigation often does not create anything or support people in accomplishing their dreams.
Jen began shifting her focus from litigation to supporting her clients build a solid foundation to grow their lives and protect their families. Now she focuses her practice on real estate transactions, business deals, starting businesses, estate planning, real estate transactions, and probate. She supports her clients in FSBOs (for sale by owners), representing buyers and sellers from contract to close for real estate deals, forming companies, drafting contracts, trusts, wills, powers of attorneys, transfer on death designations, deeds, leases, and all other similar documents. She believes that in our complicated fast paced world, everyone should know their legal rights and have the competitive advantage of having an attorney at their call. She finds true reward in supporting people to thrive.
